Step 4- Filter your Keyword List

Up you've got your keyword or long tail keyword. So you start filtering it, and select the keyword with the best and least of the suggested keywords. If you are using Google keyword planner, you have to know that Google gives high priority to advertisements. Therefore, it will first show the ad group keyword at the top.

Make sure that your keywords are powerful about the topic of your article or are relevant to your landing page. If the keywords are related to your subject but do not link directly to the subject of your landing page, then just create a new landing page and write a new article that includes the keyword.

If you take care of all these things, then now you have a list of keywords or long tail keywords and now your article is ready to get short term and long term traffic from the search engine. These keywords will be ready for your article, which will prove very beneficial for your blog or website.

Also, you can review your keyword or long tail keyword as often as possible. Once you get top rank in SERP (search engine result page), you can add more keyword or long tail keyword to your list. Adding a new keyword or long tail keyword to your list will give you more opportunities to grow in other areas while maintaining your current rank in other successful areas.
